Cirium, the aviation analytics company, has released its 2023 On-Time Performance Review. This year’s top airlines and airports, based around the world, not only met expectations but also established new standards in operational efficiency and punctuality.
For the third consecutive year, Delta Air Lines claimed the top spot on the U.S. airline list, earning the Cirium Platinum Award. Meanwhile, Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport emerged as the leading global airport in terms of on-time performance.
On the global stage, Avianca Airlines secured the title of most punctual airline. Regional winners were ANA for Asia Pacific, Oman Air for the Middle East and Africa, Copa in Latin America, and Iberia Express in Europe. Safair was the leading low-cost carrier.
For purposes of the survey, an on-time flight is defined as one that arrives within 15 minutes of its scheduled gate arrival, while for an airport, it means departing within 15 minutes of its scheduled departure.
