Scene: Hotel room in Cartagena, Colombia
Me (to Husband): “Hurry and get dressed! I signed us up for a salsa class.” (Despite being a non-cook, I often enroll Husband and me in cooking lessons when traveling. They are a great way to meet locals and usually I don’t screw up the recipe too badly.)
Ten minutes later Husband emerges in dark jeans and a red and white shirt. “This is perfect timing—I’m starved.”
Me: “Then you’re going to be even more hungry. And why don’t you wear your white pants?”
Husband: “Are you sure? What if I get tomato on them?”
Me (light dawns): “Oh boy. Do I have a surprise for you.”
