NASA has opened reservations for its next mission; hurry and make your booking!
Want to send your (or anyone else’s) name to Mars?
Previously NASA opened up the opportunity and nearly 11 million people responded. All submitted names were reviewed, approved, and then etched onto a microchip.
The microchip was attached to Perseverance, the rover that will land on Mars.
Launch date was July 30, 2020. It’s due to land seven months from now.
So many people expressed interest in sending their names to Mars, NASA decided to open up a future mission. You can click here to enroll.
You’ll be issued a boarding pass and (if you submit your email) earn frequent flier miles. (This will be my highest point-earning flight ever. Alas, there’s no word on redemptions.)
Twist’s Take: Send your name to Mars! As a kid who loved space camp, I think this is the coolest ever.
